I realize that writing a blog is the trendy thing to do. Whether it's heading to a foreign land or rambling about the latest drama in life, everybody is creating blogs. Well, I feel like I'm heading into a foreign land. Does that count?

As of tomorrow, I will almost officially be the new 9th grade teacher at my local high school. I've already shaken hands on it with the principal. Isn't it a nice world we live in when shaking hands actually still means something significant? I love that about the South.

Anyway, today I'm going to get books and miscellaneous information about the curriculum so that I can actually prepare to teach my students. Although kids come back next Wednesday, I really have a couple of weeks to get everything together since the first week and a half is already planned for me - Hooray!

Well, the shower is calling me, and I have a ton to do.
